Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Mar 5, 2011 - Depart USA
Departure from Los Angeles

Day 2: Mar 6, 2011 - Cross the International Dateline

Day 3: Mar 7, 2011 - Christchurch, New Zealand
Upon arrival in Christchurch you are greeted by your Tour Manager and driver and transported into the city. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city before joining up with the group for dinner. MEALS: D

Day 4: Mar 8, 2011 - Christchurch/Lake Ohau
Travel through the MacKenzie country today, home to the sheep industry. Get your camera ready, as our first stop today is the beautiful glacial Lake Tekapo. Continue on to view Mt. Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain and if you want to start the tour on a real high note, then why not take the option of a spectacular glacier flight over the mountain? Then head to Lake Ohau at the base of the Southern Alps. Unwind this evening with dinner as a group. MEALS: B,D

Day 5: Mar 9, 2011 - Lake Oahu at Leisure
You have the day at leisure to explore Lake Ohau's treasures. Relax and take in the beautiful scenery before you join the group for dinner tonight. MEALS: B, D

Day 6: Mar 10, 2011 - Lake Ohau/Milford Sound
More scenic splendor this morning as we travel past the orchards of Cromwell and the Clutha River. On to Fjordland National Park where you head through the Homer Tunnel for our first view of Mitre Peak and Milford Sound. Then it's all aboard the Milford Wanderer for an overnight cruise taking in all the beauty of the fjord. There's the chance to kayak and see whales, dolphins and penguins along with towering mountains and breathtaking waterfalls. Relax and enjoy the views over dinner during an evening to treasure! MEALS: B, D

Day 7: Mar 11, 2011 - Milford Sound/Queenstown
Breakfast on board and then hop back on the coach to travel through the picturesque former gold mining centre of Arrowtown. Need an adrenaline boost? AJ Hackett's bungy bridge at Kawarau River provides a hair-raising, gob-stobbing rush! It is one of the options on this tour that separates the tourists from the purists. Pure fun, pure rush. Why don't you try it? After all the excitement, tonight chill out at the lodge, overlooking Lake Wakatipu. MEALS: B

Day 8: Mar 12, 2011 - Motatapu Marathon
Today you have time for the famous Motatapu Marathon that you have prearranged on your own. After the marathon you have the rest of the afternoon and evening to relax and unwind at your leisure. MEALS: B

Day 9: Mar 13, 2011 - Queenstown at Leisure
Leisure is probably the wrong word as Queenstown is known as the "Adventure-Adrenaline capital of the world." It's one of those places that you can literally do as much or as little as you like. A number of options to astound you await! Ever tried bungie jumping, sky diving, jet boating, river boarding, white water rafting, helicopter riding, luging, canyon swinging, four wheeldriving or hiking?! Be extreme! Action by day, action by night - that's Queenstown. Yes, when you've dried off and caught your breath, join the group for dinner at the Skyline Restaurant, then it'll be time to experience Queenstown's legendary nightlife. MEALS: B, D

Day 10: Mar 14, 2011 - Queenstown to Franz Josef
Travel today through the Kawarau Gorge, past glacial lakes and via the Haast Pass to reach the South Island's rugged West Coast. In the Westland National Park there's a chance to lace up your hiking boots and explore the icy terrain of this region on a guided glacier walk with the professional guides who will be on hand to show you the beauty of this natural wonder. Relax and unwind after your last few days of adventure with dinner as a group tonight. MEALS: B, D

Day 11: Mar 15, 2011 - Franz Josef to Christchurch
This morning, see the art of traditional Maori jade greenstone carving at Hokitika. Then, cross the Southern Alps via majestic Arthur's Pass and head towards the "Cathedral City" of Christchurch where you have free time to explore after your tour of this beautiful city. MEALS: B, D

Day 12: Mar 16, 2011 - Depart Christchurch
Bid farewell to New Zealand as you head to the airport for your flight home today. MEALS: B
