Salt Lake International Airport
The New SLC is designed to accommodate 34 million passengers and will replace the five existing concourses with two linear concourses—the North Concourse and the South Concourse—which will be connected by a passenger tunnel. The $4.5 billion project is being built in phases with the first phase to open in 2020 and the second phase to be completed in 2024.
The first phase will include a new terminal, a new parking garage with double the capacity, and portions of the two new concourses. The new concourses will be able to accommodate larger planes and all gates will have boarding bridges.
